Some of our friends are having their first little girl in a month and after seeing Kitchen Table Quilting Deep Blue Sea Baby Quilt, we decided to make them a pink and purple wave quilt.
Kitchen Table Quilting has a great tutorial on how to make the quilt. I made sure I pressed the seam in different directions to give them a pocket, this makes sewing them together really easy. After sewing things together, I sandwiched the quilt on my kitchen floor, after cleaning it really well…
I use regular safely pins…
Then I took the quilt to my sewing machine and quilting using a non-straight line. And finished things off with a white binding.
What do you think? We love the design so much that we asked my mom to make our youngest a blanket in the same design!
