Do you love fresh cookies right out of the oven??? Because I do. Or do you get tied of hanging out by the oven trying to finish all the cookies… I have a solution to your problem. And if you have already figured this out good for you! Because my life is forever changed by this little discovery and I hope yours will too.
The solution is freezing you cookie dough. But freeze it into pre-made scoops.
So how do you freeze cookie dough? You take a baking dish and cover it with Saran wrap. Then scoop your cookie dough onto the dish, the dough can be touching. Next place more Saran wrap on top of the cookie dough. Place dish into the freezer and freeze until dough is hard, I normally leave overnight.
After cookie dough is frozen place into a freezer zip-lock bag. To make your life a little easier, write the baking instructions onto the bag.
When you are ready to eat your delicious, fresh out of the oven cookies, just place on baking sheet and bake. I do find that I usually have to add an extra minute from what I normally cook the cookies at. Or if you are like me you can skip the whole cooking process and just eat the dough. The choice is up to you! I hope you enjoyed this little tip on how to freeze cookie dough.
