Well hello there! I am Megan Taylor. The creator behind TwoFeetFirst.
I have a passion to help homeowners learn to makeover their outdated home into something they can love. I aim to share Do-It-Yourself (DIY) projects that will help you renovate a space, build something from wood, but also help you remove the feeling of overwhelm with each project.
I want to show you that if I, an amateur do-it-yourselfer, can do this, so can you!!
My story of renovating and woodworking started in 2013 when we purchased our very first home. Be sure to see the home tour to see all the projects we have completed!
I’ve learned a boatload about renovating, woodworking, and DIY throughout the years. But I did have to start somewhere and believe me, my husband and I did not know a whole lot about how to renovating a home or woodworking when we first started.
Over the years and hundreds of projects later, I can honestly say we know a whole heck-of-a-lot about renovating, DIY, woodworking, using tools, organizing, decorating, planning a project, and many more things to help makeover a home.
MOre about me
I’m married to my right-hand man and he puts up with all my crazy. My days are spent chasing three tiny people that have way too much energy (I’m a stay-at-home mom), managing the everyday household, working on some DIY project (probably too many at once), taking picture after picture of our projects, and learning more about this blogging thing.
You should know that I have a big weakness for any home store (The Home Depot) and I could spend hours in that store any day of the week.
I also have a problem whenever I walk into a home of either running through all the things I would change OR wishing I could do that in my house.
I decided to start TwoFeetFirst to share our home projects with family plus to improve my writing (I was only communicating with babies during the day at that time). Please know that I’m not the greatest writer or speller and sometimes I make up words. So excuse any grammar or spelling mistakes because I will make them often.
Follow along on Instagram for my latest projects, fun updates, and sneak peeks.
I’m glad you’ve found me and thanks for stopping by!
