There are days in our life that we do some light changes around the house and because they are so little I don’t feel the need to blog about that one small little change. But we have had a couple lately so I though I would share. Plus I wanted to ask your opinion on something.
First change we made was in our kitchen and it was the light above the kitchen table. It previously looked like this.
After starting our kitchen remodel, I wanted to change this thing out but there are some reasons why we didn’t. The light idea I wanted to do, Eric was not liking the idea for this spot in our house. And because one day we plan on having cabinets right there, why buy a light that one day will be removed. So instead I decided lets at least remove the yellow cover over the light. And now we are left with this.
I think it’s a huge improvement and it cost us NOTHING… I do plan on painting the chain but we will see if that happens.
Another change happened because we found water on our basement floor… The bath tub was leaking water and needed to be fixed. Go figure the only new plumbing the previous owners, did started leaking. So my dad came up and replaced the waste and overflow of the bath tub, sorry we have no tutorial and no pictures because we did not do the work, just watched and after watching it is something we could have done…
The last little change was in the kids room. This one is a what were we thinking one. Let’s see if you can see a problem from the picture.
Other then the unmade bed, it’s the ceiling fan. It’s only a couple of inches from the kids bunk bed, we should have thought of this when we placed the bed there. And lately they have figured out how to turn the fan part on, well the tiniest one has other two kids know better. But this is probably not the safest light for the room. It just so happened that we had an extra light hanging out downstairs. SO boring light here we come.
I really want to add a different light so I will keep my eyes open at the restore place…
Last is a question for you. I am in the process of updating our living room with a gallery wall or two. I want to put it on this wall.
And the question is, do you think it will look funny?
I really want to move the TV to this wall but our couch is holding me back. Why? Well if we moved the TV, I would want to move the cough to be in front of it. But the slipcover on the couch does not like to stay in place, leaving the back exposed. Now as I am writing this, I was thinking we could just mount the TV to the wall and turn it to the couch.
What are your thoughts? I would love to hear them!!
