How we did on our 2015 House Goals

Can you believe it is almost the last day of the year??? I can not and I am still wondering where the year went, especially the last couple of months. Sorry all the recap post but I decided to enjoy the holidays with my family, so you get recap posts…

And today I wanted to share how we did with our 2015 house goals (we will be doing a new one next week for 2016!). We really like writing down our house project goals, we write ours in the kitchen that way we see them all the time.

But here is the exact lists we made for this year.

• Paint Kitchen Cabinets – this was our biggest project this year, OK maybe not but it took awhile
  • stripping old paint
  • reworking cabinet drawer by adding new drawer slides
  • painting cabinet uppers & base
  • updated doors to shaker style by adding trim
  • painting cabinet with paint sprayer
  • adding hardware
• Add Organization to Kitchen Cabinets – still working on one more
  • Pull-out baking sheet
• Add Microwave above Stove – did not happen this year
• Indoor Herb Planter – still working on add them to our cabinets
• Paint Ceiling in Master Bedroom, Kids Room, Hallway, Living Room, and Kitchen
• Update Light Above Sink & Kitchen Table – DONE check out the light above the sink it’s pretty sweet
• Fix Water Coming into Basement – next springs problem…
• Porch Planter Box – next year
• Find and Reupholster #2 Chairs here & here – working on chair number 3 now
• Add Pillows to Couch
• Update Living Room Closet
• DIY Desk
• DIY Master Bedroom Mirror – cheap way to update a full length mirror
• Remodel Master Closet – working on the design right now
• Build Night Stand – Eric just finished this one just need to blog about it
• Add Curtains to Master Bedroom
• Add Artwork to Master & Kids Room – have not done the kids room yet
• Add Framing around Painting
• Build Gate – next year this will happen
• Add Gutters to House & Garage
• Add Plants to Side of Garage – we added strawberry plants
• Build Small Storage Box by Garage
• Update Sprinklers – just need to add them to the back yard
• Par-get Around House
• Replace Front Storm Door 
• Finish Downstairs Closet
• Remove Trim & Repaint Basement Walls
• Add Shelves Above Stairs
• Flush Main Line – OK this turned into the project of the year because we had to redo our main sewer line
  • Fixing the main sewer line
  • Jacking up some cement
  • Cutting cement
  • New plumbing
  • Re-cementing the basement floor
• Build a Rock Wall
• Build Kids Toy Storage
• Replace Toilet
• Reside the Garage

Most of our money went into the sewer main line of the house, making it hard to complete any of the other project we wanted to do. Anyone one else have a to-do list for the new year?
