It has been 6 months sense our last house to-do list, so I think it’s time for another list to see exactly were we are with our house projects. Things on the list may change over time but for now its our list of things to do.

Let’s start with that list: 

– The Front/Side Yard (63% Complete) –

  • Remove all old framing
  • Move laundry to corner
  • Put cabinets above washer and dryer
  • Insulate room, maybe
  • Create a closet under stairs
  • Move water softener
  • Install flooring or paint cement
  • Remove wall paneling
  • Install drywall
  • Update sink
  • Paint walls, ceiling, and trim
  • Add barn door
  • Add a ceiling light fixture 

– Basement Bedroom (23% Complete) –

To Do: Complete remodel

  • Make window to code and add new window
  • Paint cinder block
  • Insulate room
  • Add a closet
  • Remove old carpeting and install new (need to blog about)
  • Remove wall paneling and ceiling paneling (need to blog about)
  • Install drywall
  • Add trim and crown molding
  • Paint walls, ceiling, and trim
  • Paint door and update hardware
  • Add blinds or curtains
  • Add a ceiling light fixture 

– The Basement Craft Room (6% Complete) –

To Do: Complete remodel

  • Make window to code and add new window
  • Insulate room
  • Paint cinder block
  • Remove brick box behind door
  • Remove old carpeting and install new
  • Remove wall paneling and ceiling paneling
  • Install drywall
  • Add trim and crown molding
  • Paint walls, ceiling, and trim
  • Paint door and update hardware
  • Add blinds or curtains
  • Add a ceiling light fixture 

– The Closet below Front Porch (42% Complete) –

To Do: Complete remodel (we changed our mind after lots of research and decided the best thing was to make this an insulated closet)

  • Add new window (working on this, just waiting on the window to get in!!)
  • New water heater and move water heater into storage room
  • Demo Room (need to blog about this)
  • Replace shower
  • Install new flooring
  • Replace toilet
  • Replace vanity
  • Install drywall
  • Add trim
  • Paint walls, ceiling, and trim
  • Paint door and update hardware
  • Add a ceiling and vanity light fixture 

– The Storage Room (9% Complete) –

– General Whole House Ideas (20% Complete) –

 To Do:

  • Replace all windows (only the basement windows are left)
  • Redo all electrical 
  • Redo all plumbing (underground is finished)
  • Replace all light switch plates and outlets in the house
  • Replace roof

What a list… I can not believe all that we have done but we still have a list to do. Sometimes I wonder what we got ourselves into and if we will ever have the money to finish all this… But with time it will all get done. How is your to-do list going?
