We have this really long list of things that we need to complete before winter sets in. One thing on the list is the room right below the front porch, also know as a cold storage room. This room has moisture issues during the winter. But if you remember we also had some wood that framed in the doorway that was rotting away and after removing it we had some holes in the floor.
So before we can start on insulating the room to prevent the moisture, we needed to fill in the holes with cement. We purchased a bag from the hardware store that is used for concrete slabs or installing posts. After mixing the cement to a cake batter consistency, we were ready to add it to the holes. First, we sprayed the holes with water then added cement to the holes.
While adding the cement, we would use a stick to make sure the cement was filling in all the gaps.
And here is the holes all filled in with the new cement.
