Lots of budget-friendly Christmas porch decorating ideas.
This holiday season I decided it was time to finally decorate the front porch for Christmas. A big push was that we just added the porch to our house, see the whole process of wrapping the porch columns here. Anyways, I wanted to share my budget-friendly Christmas Porch decor plus share some favorites from other bloggers.
What do you think? I love how it turned out plus everything cost me less than $75.
My favorite part is the homemade happy holidays wood sign. The natural wood and lights make it for me! I share the whole tutorial on how to make your own sign, here. The only thing I added was a plywood piece to cover the back of the sign.
I hung the sign with 3/16″ x 2″ eye bolt, 3/4″ x 3″ eye screw, and 3-1/2″ spring links.
I also wanted to add something to the new post columns and can I say that Christmas garlands are expensive… I decided on a budget-friendly 50′ prelit garland from Target. It’s not the look I really wanted but I could not pass up the $25 price tag and I am still very pleased with how it turned out.
To fill in my cedar planter box, see how to make your own here, I decided to use up some wood scraps I had laying around and create a wooden Christmas tree.
Last but not least was decorating the door and I made a DIY Christmas hoop wreath, see how to make your own here.
SIDE NOTE: To plug in all the Christmas lights, I had to purchase outdoor extension cords but I also purchased this Weatherproof Outdoor Box to make sure snow would not affect the power cords.
Now that I have shared my porch Christmas decor, here are some other Christmas porch decoration ideas.
